Register Link after 2.8 Upgrade?

Q: I upgraded a site and now it has a register page.

A: This is a confirmed bug in 2.8 - basically the site "heals" itself when important pages are missing (registration, shopping cart, etc.) However, it mistakenly is inserting the register page under certain circumstances. Just make the page hidden using security. It is fixed in 2.81.

Update - The old code stopped working on FireFox 4.0+
The old menu.js file stopped working. Do two things to fix it:

1) add style="position:relative;.... more
